Role and Responsibilities

Role description:

  • To oversee the management of number of residential projects
  • Manage and lead the project management team
  • Participation in developing the company strategy
  • A clear understanding of both current public and private contract forms and their administration
  • Assist in the management of sub-contractor packages on site
  • Develop the construction programme, manage the program and monitor progress on site to ensure delivery of completed project on time
  • Develop, install and manage project methodology and company strategy for each project
  • Oversee and ensure all EHSQ systems are adhered
  • Maintain a structured approach to managing the project on the ground from progress meeting and clear reporting on project performance
  • Manage and oversee the design portion elements of sub-contractor packages including the QS submittal process in a timely fashion
  • Manage client expectations on all contracts to ensure new and existing relationships are developed and maintained
  • Manage the procurement process for all projects suppliers to ensure timely delivery of project
  • Oversee all commercial aspects of projects
  • Provide value engineering solutions where possible
  • Report monthly to Directors
  • Represent Manley at all project meetings

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Suitable candidates should have:

  • Residential / Housing Experience is essential
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role with a Main Contractor
  • Degree in construction, civil engineering or similar
  • Be able to communicate well and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of construction practices, trades and techniques
  • A track record in delivering projects on time
  • Technically astute
  • Excellent Information Technology skills
  • A full clean European driver’s license and a form of transport which will enable you to fulfil your responsibilities
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • The ability to meet deadlines
