Role and Responsibilities

Purpose of Role

Reporting to the site foremen, Contracts Managers and Project Managers, Applicants must possess prior experience in Roofing, with a preference for experience within Ireland. Additionally, the ability to work collaboratively within a team context is essential, as the role involves coordination with other site members.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct roofing assessments and inspections to determine the scope of work required for repairs, replacements, or new installations
  • Perform roofing installations, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with industry standards and safety guidelines
  • Handle a variety of roofing materials, including tiles, shingles, metal sheets, and membranes, to achieve desired results
  • Collaborate closely with site members, sub-contractors, and fellow employees to ensure effective communication and coordination on projects
  • Adhere to project timelines and deadlines to ensure timely completion of roofing tasks
  • Ensure proper disposal of old materials and debris in compliance with environmental regulations
  • Safely operate and maintain roofing tools and equipment, ensuring their functionality and safety
  • Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, promoting safety and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, all ISO standards, QHS standards and industry standards, and regulatory requirements during the procurement process
  • Prepare and maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experienced –working on domestic properties as a qualified Roofer working on slate and tiled roofs or flat and PVc roofs
  • Proven experience on domestic roofing projects – preferably in Ireland
  • Strong knowledge of different roofing materials, installation techniques, and repair methods
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Basic English will be needed for this role
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
