Quantity Surveyor Sandar Construction

Sandar Construction is a reputable family owned building contracting company. The company undertakes projects throughout Ireland and has completed numerous projects in both the public and private sectors with the scope of work varying in type and size from multimillion to small and medium size contracts.

We require a quantity surveyor to be based in the head office in Cavan with periodic site visits as required

Roles and Responsibilities

• Examination of tender / contract documentation
• Procurement and management of subcontracts and suppliers
• Preparation of Interim Applications for Payment, Variation Proposals and Claims
• Preparation and Agreement of Final Accounts
• Monitor Cash Flow and Prepare Cost Reports for Senior Management.
• Document Control

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Have a relevant third level qualification
• Ideally have 4+ years post graduate experience in a similar role
• High attention to detail
• Knowledge of estimating from first principals
• Measurement and Take off proficiency
• Proven record in appointing and managing subcontractor contracts
• Experience working with GCCC contracts advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience using Buildsoft would be advantageous.
