Role and Responsibilities

To complete all tasks / activities in a safe & efficient manner ensuring that all associated standards are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • To undertake assigned activities under the direction of the Piling Supervisor / Project Manager
  • Be enthusiastic & committed to the team’s purpose and share responsibility for performance
  • Ensure all work is completed to the appropriate levels of safety, & quality
  • Producing the deliverables/products to agreed specifications
  • To take care of all safety equipment / tools provided and ensure they are used correctly
  • Work as part of a team and contribute towards successful communication and positive


  • Participate in, and positively promote, the Murphy Never Harm Programme
  • Undertake any reasonable duties expected of you
  • Carry out all work in accordance with health and safety and any other legal requirements
  • Ensure compliance with the Company policies and procedures
  • Manage the performance of all employees assigned to you in accordance with legislation and company procedures
  • Attend and engage fully in any learning and development activities that are deemed appropriate by your line management
  • Participate and engage fully in company appraisal/performance review processes and constantly work to improve your individual, your team and the wider group’s performance

Note: In addition to these functions personnel are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required in order to support the objectives of the Group/Company/ Operational Unit

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Skills, Experience & Tickets Required

Applicants must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in operating Rotary and /or CFA rigs – Bauer/ Soilmec/ Llamada/ Casagrande/ Klemm etc.
  • A full clean driving licence
  • Good track record in adhering to all health and safety procedures
  • Experience with mini piling rigs also preferred but not essential

Training will be provided where necessary but ideally the successful applicant will have:

  • Safe Pass
  • Manual Handling
  • CSCS Slinger/Signaller
  • Piling rig operators ticket (CPCS UK Piling rig certificate acceptable)

Additional tickets preferred but not mandatory:

  • Working at Height
