Role and Responsibilities
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plant and asset installation, maintenance, calibration, repair, replacement of faulty items, adjustment, and servicing
- Integration of computer, electronic and programmable control systems with mechanical/ hydraulic, pneumatic systems e.g., PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), CNC (Computer Numerical Control), Robots and CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing)
- Interpreting technical drawings and diagrams
- Condition monitoring using modern maintenance techniques
- Promote quality work and alleviate snags arising or return visits to correct defects
- Management of the documentation and filing of detailed information, test certificates and report writing of completed repairs
- Act as an integral link in the communication process between our Client and the Company
- Compliance with regulatory requirements and adhering to quality management systems
- An awareness of health and safety and good housekeeping is essential as well as attention to detail

Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Minimum (Degree in Applied Physics & Instrumentation) or Solas advanced Craft Certification to QQI Level 6, or equivalent. (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument)
- Demonstrable levels of technical knowledge with practical application
- A high degree of computer literacy and familiarity with CMMS systems
