Bid Writer / Bid Coordinator

Company Overview

DesignBuild Search are now hiring a Bid Writer to join our client’s Estimating Department. Our client is a Tier 1 Main Contractor based in Dublin who are involved in a variety of projects in the Commercial, Residential, Pharma, Healthcare, Education, and Fitout sectors.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Writing all the technical detail required to accompany tenders
  • Preparing Prequalification Questionnaires for proposed work
  • Quality submissions, methodology statements and programming for tender submissions
  • Raising any clarification questions with the contracting authority
  • Coordination with Contract/Project Managers regarding production of technical submissions
  • Act as a point of contact for both Clients & Contractors during the bid process
  • Quality checks of Bid Proposal before submission
  • Finalise submission documents in conjunction with the submission coordinator
  • Requesting feedback on bids to improve future work

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Degree in a Construction or Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a bid writing role
  • Experience with a main contractor is an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience of writing compliant and successful bids for tenders
  • Capable of working to deadlines
  • Attention to detail
